CADA Privacy & Data Consent Policy

- Date of birth
- Gender
- County, Constituency, and Ward
- Phone number and email address
- Postal or physical address
- Person with Disability (PWD) status (where applicable)
- Ethnic group and religion (where voluntarily provided)
- Digital signature (including IP address, MAC address, device type, browser, and operating system details)
- Registration timestamp and system log records
- Copy of ID or Passport (digital or physical)
- Recruiter information (if applicable)
3. Why We Collect Your Data
Your data is collected for the following lawful purposes:
- To register you as a member of CADA
- To submit verified membership data to the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP)
- To verify eligibility and prevent double registration
- To communicate with you on official party matters (via SMS, email, or phone)
- For planning, analytics, and internal organizational purposes
4. Your Consent
By submitting your details through our registration form (online, USSD, or in-person), you confirm that:
- You are voluntarily applying to become a member of CADA
- You consent to the collection and use of your personal data (including system-generated metadata such as IP address, MAC address, browser, and operating system) for the purposes stated in this policy
- You understand your data may be submitted to the ORPP and cross-referenced with the Integrated Political Parties Membership System (IPPMS)
5. How We Store and Protect Your Data
Your data is stored securely using encrypted systems. Access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
We implement technical and organizational safeguards to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as required by law or until you resign your membership or request deletion,
unless required otherwise for compliance or dispute resolution.
7. Your Rights
Under the Data Protection Act, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct or update your details
- Withdraw your consent
- Request deletion or restrict processing
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC)
